Pay Range: $75,134 - $129,251 per year
Job Summary:
The mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through a tradition of honor, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
- Support missions for the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government.
- Enforce protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: No prior experience required; freshers are encouraged to apply!
- Education: Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or certificate of equivalency
- Age: Must be at least 20 years old at the time of application and 21 by appointment; must be under 37 when receiving a conditional offer.
- Veteran’s/Law Enforcement Preference: Must receive a conditional offer prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the process.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is a must.
Schedule and Shift Details:
Newly appointed Uniformed Division Officers normally work a 40-hour workweek on a set schedule (e.g., 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, or 10:30 pm - 7:00 am shifts). Workdays and shifts will vary depending on assignment and manpower requirements.
Bonus Opportunity:
As part of your compensation package, you are eligible for a performance-based bonus:
- First Installment: $15,000 upon successful completion of Secret Service Uniformed Division training.
- Second Installment (1st year): $10,000 following one year of service post-training and an acceptable performance rating.
- Third Installment (2nd year): $10,000 after a third year of service post-training and an acceptable performance rating.
- Final Installment (3rd year): $15,000 following a fourth year of service post-training and an acceptable performance rating.
