Job Title: Safety Supervisor - Transportation
Location: Denton, TX
Pay Range: $60,000–$65,000 per year
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (minimum 40 hours/week)

Position Summary
The Transportation Safety Supervisor ensures a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting driver and employee training, and maintaining adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. This role emphasizes driver safety, regulatory compliance, and OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of driver logs, vehicle maintenance records, and safety practices to ensure regulatory compliance, including DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety violations, recommending corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
• Develop, implement, and deliver safety training for drivers and employees, focusing on compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure carrier operating rules and employee qualification guidelines.
• Maintain and update safety policies to ensure alignment with the latest regulations and industry best practices.
• Ensure the timely reporting and documentation of safety incidents, injuries, and violations.

Qualifications
Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a safety-related role, preferably within transportation, with specific experience in DOT compliance, log audits, and OSHA regulations.
Skills:

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, commercial trucking safety, and OSHA standards.
• Experience conducting audits of driver logs and vehicle maintenance records.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
