MyCodingClasses is dedicated to making coding fun and accessible for kids ages 5-14. We provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences at local parks and recreation centers, helping young learners build confidence in coding, problem-solving, and creativity.

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic On-Site Coding Tutor to teach kids fundamental coding concepts in a fun and interactive way. This is a part-time role with a set schedule on Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM - 4:30 PM and Wednesdays from 12 PM - 7 PM. While experience with robotics is a plus, it is not required—the primary focus is on coding.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging coding sessions for children ages 5-14 in small-group settings.
• Teach using beginner-friendly platforms such as Scratch, Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, Python, or similar tools.
• Adapt lessons to different age groups and skill levels.
• Foster a fun and encouraging learning environment.
• Provide guidance and support as students develop their own coding projects.
• Manage class materials and setup at different locations.
• Communicate with parents and program coordinators about student progress.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with kids and making coding fun.
• Experience with Scratch, Python, JavaScript, Roblox Studio, or other beginner-friendly coding tools.
• Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience (formal or informal).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel to parks and recreation center locations.
• Robotics experience (LEGO, VEX, etc.) is a plus but not required.
