Essential Functions
- Manages superintendent and assistant superintendents on multiple job sites, while providing insight and leadership in the continuous improvement of methodology, technology, tools, and approach to building.
- Responsible for assuring that safe working conditions exist on the job site in compliance with appropriate governmental safety standards and company safety program and policies are
- Investigates and recommends improvements in work methods and Cost/Time savings.
- Responsible for initiating and maintaining positive relationships with owners, architects, consulting engineers, trade partners and others related to the job to assure good communication and rapport.
- Make proper and timely information available to upper management to keep them informed and to assure a high degree of credibility and
- Reviews with superintendents that the trade partner(s) crew(s) are sufficiently manned and schedules crews to assure proper workflow and activity execution in accordance with the 3-week look ahead and project schedule.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining equitable business-like relationships between the company, subcontractors, and suppliers and ensuring their performance as required.
- Ensure team goals, roles, protocols, initiatives, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and company ideals, goals, and strategies.
- Lead by example while providing an environment of trust and candor.
- Attend pre-construction and project progress meetings (as possible).
- Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the management of site logistics and schedule management.
- Supervise and develop the project teams under their responsibility.
- Promote a “safety first” environment and culture.
- Provide a project evaluation worksheet after every site visit to OPS management team.
- Track daily reports to ensure they are being completed daily in Procore.
- Review safety inspections and safety meetings to ensure compliance with the company’s Safety Program – no
- Ensure assigned superintendents work with their team to plan, schedule, reside over, and take meeting minutes for weekly subcontractor
- The 3-4 week rolling look-ahead schedule shall be completed and presented weekly at project update meetings and transmitted to the project manager and OPS management team weekly. Information on the 3-week rolling schedule shall be obtained from weekly subcontractor meetings about the project schedule.
- Ensure daily photos are being uploaded to Procore in a timely manner.
- Ensure the project team complies with all items related to the SWPPP program including recordkeeping, inspections, and enforcement with the applicable trade partners on the project.
- Confirm the project team is keeping updated record set of “as-built” documents and completed on a weekly basis by Superintendent and relevant trades on site.
