Material Handler/Truck Driver
MYCOTEC, a wholesale distributor of millwork materials, is looking for a material handler/truck driver. This position is responsible for exceptional customer service, delivery of materials to customer job site, effectively communicating with customers and co-workers, load and unload building materials onto and off truck or customer vehicles, assemble building materials, use a forklift and manually move materials as required. You must be able to read and measure materials with a tape measure and record in writing or verbally when necessary. You will be responsible for maintaining the company vehicle in accordance with company policies and manufacturer specifications.
Facility Hours:
- Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Scheduled delivery times may exceed facility hours and may vary based on customer demands
- Same day delivery
- No overnight deliveries

The Material Handler/Truck Driver is responsible for accurately and safely delivering lumber and related building materials to customer job site. The Material Handler/Truck Driver will load/stock lumber and related building materials on residential, commercial job sites and our warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of truck
- Report maintenance issues to fleet service manager
- Deliver building materials to customer's job site
- Walk job site and complete job site inspection form and other paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding difficult job site and deliveries
- Use forklift to load/unload building materials
- Make product returns and pickups
- Comply with all company policies and OSHA safety regulations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
- Walk 4-5 miles in a day, on average
- Get in/out of truck cab, truck bed, jobsites & warehouse in all weather conditions
- Lift up to 165lbs on average three times a day
- Read and write on paperwork
- Bend and stand back up throughout the day
- Walk up and down stairs
- Load and unload trucks, as well as carts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid operator’s license
- Must be at least age 21 and have a safe driving record to drive company vehicle
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Must pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug, alcohol)
- Must have a DOT medical card (provided by company)
- Must be forklift certified (training provided by company)
- Capable of operating a manual transmission vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail
PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to walk, stand and continually lift >80 pounds. The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle and lifting equipment such as a truck and forklift.
