Responsible for supporting the production team to meet their work orders and operational targets to satisfy customers. Optimize communication by translating information and operations content from English language to Spanish language or vice versa in written and or oral to convey production expectations clearly and accurately.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as liaison when there is a language barrier by translating information to convey production expectations, training, etc.
- Assist production by operating machines and or assembling products to meet production targets.
- Ensure work meets customer’s expectations and product specifications.
- Notify supervisor of any challenges preventing the assigned work from being completed.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed and preventing re-work and waste.
- Complete documentation and reports as needed.
- Inspect product.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
- Train other production workers as needed.
- Maintain professional and positive relations with team members.
- Work safely and demonstrate respect for personal safety and the safety of others and bring safety concerns up to supervisor.
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and others as part of assigned work.
- Assist with Quality with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to read and write proficiently in English and Spanish
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment
- Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time.
- This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include, but not limited to:
- Ovens, torches, and rotating tools
- Forklifts and other moving machinery
- Loud work environment
- Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift. Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet.
- Frequently positions self to maneuver around the parts, materials, and molds. Must be able to operate the hand and tools and write legible.
