- Candidates must have 3 points or less to be considered for the position.
- Lifting - proper and safe technique to maneuver and lift up to 50 pounds
- Climbing - proper and safe technique when using ladders and maneuvering upon machines
- Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) trained and diligent adherence to all LOTO practices
- Forklift license maintained current, daily checklists performed, safety-minded operation
- Understands how one’s job contributes to the success of the organization as a whole
- Works in teams and independently to produce quality products and meet production schedule.
- Operate a walkie-talkie to exchange information with supervisor, set-up, maintenance, floor person
- Suggest improvements in work methods and procedures directly to supervisor
- Communicates production progress information to the next shift
- Observe and correct problems or reports malfunction of machines to supervisor and /or set-up
- Troubleshoot work related problems by using proven troubleshooting techniques
- Technology – use press machine computer to enter job change, color change, scrap, check on hours, parts and materials
- Forklift use:
- lift vacuum and drain oil into 55-gallons drums
- select and pull proper material for operators
- pull and verify raw material, as instructed, by dumping material from silo into Gaylord
- Air gun - properly and safely used to clean out gaylords, grinders, and presses
- Grinder – properly and safely operates large and portable machines
- Industrial vacuum - properly and safely uses to remove oil, water, and / or material
- Conveyors – properly and safely clears jams
- Packing Machines – properly and safely operates to fill in during operator breaks and absences
- Maintains automatic machines by monitoring machine operation, replacing full bins, weighing and stocking material
- Hook regrind to press machines and set switches to correct percentage and color
- Perform basic cleaning duties to maintain a clean work area
- Fills barrels with proper colorant
- Manually empty bins of oil into buckets
- Construct and tear down Gaylords
- Receive materials or labels from warehouse, verify with packing list and store in proper location
- All other duties as assigned
