Job Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for handling the most important client accounts for Myers Industries, consisting of multiple brands. These accounts make up the highest percentage of Myers e-commerce income, and the key account manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client's needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The key account manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Proficient in navigating Supplier portals

Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Intermediate computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the MS Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills.
Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on client contract
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field; Master's degree preferred
Five years' previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years' previous work experience managing Wal-Mart and / or Home Depot Supplier accounts
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external customers including key business partners and decision makers across customer's entire organization.
Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques coupled with familiarity with P&L management.
Solid computer skills with focus on Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
Experience using and working with a CRM system to manage accounts, opportunity pipeline, contacts and tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
Education and Experience
4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university
5 years' previous work experience in National Account Sales or Key Account Management with demonstrated record of growing MRO distributors
Proven experience networking and selling large strategic customers.
Working Conditions
Typical office environment
Preferred candidate to reside in the California, Oregon, or Nevada region
Travel up to 50%
