Position Summary
The shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing the shipment of products from the warehouse to customers, vendors, and distribution centers. This role ensures that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and shipping regulations. The Shipping Clerk works closely with the warehouse team, carriers, and customer service teams to maintain smooth logistics operations and timely deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare, verify, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and staged for shipments according to order specifications.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure shipments meet customer requirements, including special handling, labeling, or packaging.
- Maintain accurate records of shipped and received goods in the inventory management system.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with shipping standards.
- Work closely with the warehouse team and production teams to resolve shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Assist with inventory control by tracking and reporting shipment statuses.
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Education and Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Warehouse and Shipping operations, methods, and practices. Knowledge of Bar Code Technology and Electronic Data Interchange.
