As one of the primary points of contact for our department, our Senior Clerks play a crucial role in ensuring that individuals receive the care and support they need. Greet and assist visitors with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the health department. Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member. Schedule appointments for clients using our Electronic Health System. Verify insurance coverage and assist clients with insurance-related inquiries and screening for the Sliding Fee Discount Program. Collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure seamless coordination of services. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and EXCEL Able to change easily from one task to another Relate well to different people from varied backgrounds and different situations Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of responsibilities in a timely, efficient manner Qualifications : Minimum- Valid driver's license High School diploma or equivalent Must obtain Incident Command System (ICS-100) certification within 60 days and National Incident Management System (IS-700) certification within 90 days of employment. Must complete the Family Planning Title X mandatory trainings within 30 days of employment Preferred- Experience working in a clinical setting. Experience verifying insurance coverages.
