We are now hiring a full-time bilingual preferred teller to work in our McEver Road location.
TELLER
The Teller will perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers and check cashing. Should have an excellent member-service mindset and enjoy working with the public. Ensure that all members are served promptly by greeting and helping members with the highest level of professionalism and proficiency.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general information regarding credit union services or policies to those who inquire.
- Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing.
- Abide by Check Cashing Policy on all transactions performed.
- Examine checks for proper endorsements and validity.
- Provide members with proper receipts for payments.
- Maintain the privacy of member account information.
- All tellers should strive to receive any cross training available for member services to help provide excellent service to our members.
- Balance cash drawer and complete daily transactions with minimal errors.
- Maintain a working knowledge of credit union history and philosophy, as well as policies and procedures of the credit union.
- Cross-sell all services offered by the credit union.
- Prefer that candidate be able to communicate with members in both Spanish and English.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- Excel in a team environment.
- Professional appearance, dress and member focused attitude.
- Good basic math skills with ability to balance cash drawer.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
