We are searching for the best talent for Associate Director, Contracting Management & Compliance Excellence in our Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) based in Raritan, NJ

Purpose: The Associate Director will be responsible for oversight of GCSO's Contracting Management & Compliance Excellence hub. The Associate Director will serve as subject matter expert and lead team, to ensure governance and compliance with all laws, regulations and internal policies applicable to the department and its operations. Scope of hub's activities include operational support to business partners during submission for approval, close-out, reconciliation and reporting of external engagement activities, third-party intermediary due diligence and contracting processes with external suppliers, agencies, Healthcare professionals (HCPs) and consultants. This role will be pivotal in leading the day-to-day operations and implementing applicable risk mitigation measures.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Oversees and motivates project team members to deliver project objectives by assessing resource needs, removing barriers to success, and providing constructive feedback when needed
  • Communicates direction and strategic rationale and oversees the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of hub's projects
  • Supports continuous improvement to increase process and system efficiency, simplicity and speed of action
  • Responsible for obtaining, reviewing, interpreting and sharing metrics reports and associated action items
  • Manages relationships with internal and external partners to maintain transparency, accountability and regulatory compliance over contracts with external partners and third-party intermediaries as well as any transfer of value to HCPs
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and compliance requirements related to HCP engagements and transfers of value to HCPs
  • Supervises Online CRF (intake form) enhancements, testing and automation
  • Monitors changes on any related systems and processes and communicates with business owners for awareness
  • Provides support to GCSO teams (inc. office hours and training sessions) on applicable processes and systems
  • Creates and maintains training materials, training process and communications
  • Facilitates risk assessments, drives informed decision-making, and ensures the resolution of critical issues.
  • Manages aspects of team operations (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance) and ensures achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, pharmaceutical, healthcare administration or relevant field required; Advanced degree (MSc, MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of seven years relevant work experience is required
  • Demonstrated understanding of Contracting processes and HCP engagements in the life sciences, pharmaceutical or biotech industry required
  • Familiarity with HCP engagement technology/systems for managing engagement approvals, contracting and payments documentation required
  • Extensive knowledge of the Anti-kickback statute, Sunshine Act Reporting and related laws and regulations preferred
  • Proven experience leading teams and working on a matrix environment preferred
  • Experience with metrics reporting and data interpretation preferred
  • Strong time management and project management skills and being able to work effectively with people at all levels
  • This position is based in Raritan, NJ and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remotely per week

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$137,000 - $235,750

Additional Description For Pay Transparency

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
