We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Guy Carpenter is a dynamic innovator in the reinsurance broking space, helping insurance companies manage risk through a unique blend of investment banking and consulting. As a reinsurance intermediary, we provide strategic advisory services, analytics, and broking expertise, empowering clients to navigate change and enhance their business. The applicable base salary range for this role is $66,500 to $120,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We Will Count On You To
- Assist in organizing and preparing presentations which explain industry trends, discuss client options and recommend strategic solutions to meet client goals.
- Maintains business relationships to better serve clients. Trains new employees and monitors workflow to ensure the group runs smoothly.
- Assists in the timely production of placement submissions, including exhibits and narratives, and in tracking reinsurer underwriters progress / questions.
- Follow all best practice procedures and compliance requirements, including but not limited to building a complete placement file as the placement progresses to minimize errors & omissions.
- Respond to client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc), as directed by senior broker, coordinating with Market Information and other departments as necessary, and clearing with senior broker
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 year of relevant or similar work experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM PT.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proven sales ability in a phone-based setting, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective relationship-building and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
