Kennedys is seeking a Legal Assistant/Secretary to join its Chicago Office. Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense/coverage litigation, and will assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation including discovery, court filings and trial preparation.

We offer a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.

The annualized salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000; however, actual salary is contingent upon level of experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense/coverage litigation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Prior knowledge or experience working with Elite E3 and iManage, highly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and have a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to turn work around in an efficient manner with minimal errors is required
  • Effective communication skills and ability to proactively manage assignments
  • Thorough working knowledge of and experience working with the Federal and Illinois court systems.
