The work model for the role is: Remote This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in Midwest. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.
- Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
- Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.
- Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.
- High School Diploma and two years professional work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 additional years of related engineering / field experience). Minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience preferred.
- Demonstrated & ability to build strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision, with strong business acumen.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required. Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license.
- Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area preferred.
- Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, Square D, Multilin relays, and Switzer Relays) preferred.
- Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems), controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers a plus.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
