Job Description
You Role:
Invesco is seeking a DCIO, Senior Retirement Consultant, to cover the Central / Mountain region. The primary role of the Senior Retirement Consultant is to develop relationships with intermediaries to drive sales and retain assets within Defined Contribution Plans with both Advisors and assigned Home Office relationships.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Developing and executing sales and retention strategies focused on maximizing Invesco's penetration of the retirement market and increasing customer loyalty within the territory and with assigned Home Office firms.
- Credibly representing and positioning Invesco's investment strategies, including differentiating the firm's strategies from competitor strategies
- Partnering with colleagues in Retail Distribution, Institutional Distribution, as well as, Strategic Accounts, Marketing, and Regional Retirement Consultants to:
- Ensure alignment around business strategy, capitalize on opportunities and to anticipate and overcome challenges
- Conducting effective group and individual presentations designed to educate and support retirement-focused financial advisors and their efforts to better serve their clients and prospects
- 5 years of sales experience with a significant portion of those years focused on marketing retirement products
- A verifiable and proven track record of success raising Defined Contribution assets across multiple years, and varying market conditions in the all intermediary channels
- Relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within Invesco's target firms and institutions
- A strong investment acumen and subject matter expertise in Retirement and DCIO as well as a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
- In-depth understanding of capital markets and the impact of economic factors
- Proven ability to analyze data, create and implement a successful business plan and territory plan
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, build strong relationships and execute across varying market cycles
- Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on customer needs
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Creativity and resourcefulness while remaining pragmatic and grounded
- Must reside within the territory
- Undergraduate degree required, with strong record of academic achievement
- Series 7 & 63 required CFA, CFP, or CIMA designation preferred
