The Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Job Summary
The Co-op for Process Development and Data Processing will be responsible for streamlining data integration from experiments and lab equipment into centralized databases. The role will interface with researchers generating data and scientists who are processing, plotting, and analyzing data. The role will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell product for ongoing and future projects. The position is based in Boston, MA

Pay Range 26.00 - 50.00 USD/hour

The role will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell product for ongoing and future projects. The position is based in Boston, MA
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated data management systems in Python and SQL
- Collaborate with researchers to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Support data visualization in PowerBI and other relevant software
- Integrate data from previous experiments by ensuring consistency in naming and data structure
- Monitor data management systems to ensure successful operation of automated scripts
- Draft documents and methods to support knowledge transfer and use of automated systems by other researchers
- Knowledge of data visualization programs and software.
- Programming in python, SQL, and visual basic.
- Experience in Microsoft Excell and Access. Experience in MATLAB is also desirable.
- Education level: University Senior, Masters candidate, or PhD candidate preferred, depending on the applicants experience and skills in python, SQL, etc.
- Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Software engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineers
- Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.
- Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before July 2025
- Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July - December 2025.
