What this job involves : The Instrumentation and Process Calibration Technician is responsible for the technical oversight, calibration, and maintenance of complex instrumentation and control systems across campus facilities, utilities, and process equipment. This role utilizes advanced technical skills to ensure all systems operate within design parameters and maintain optimal energy efficiency. The technician manages external service providers, performs high-level troubleshooting, and takes decisive action to safeguard equipment and personnel. This position demands extensive technical expertise in various building and process systems, with a strong focus on calibration and analytical instrumentation.
What your day-to-day will look like :
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of building automation, process control, and analytical instrumentation systems.
- Conduct precise calibrations of a wide range of instruments, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and analytical equipment.
- Utilize technical expertise to fine-tune control loops for optimal environmental control and energy efficiency.
- Manage and troubleshoot SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control of campus utilities and process equipment.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Siemens Building Automation Systems for installation, configuration, and maintenance of control devices and field panels.
- Perform technical evaluations of control system performance and provide recommendations for process optimization.
- Execute complex calibrations and maintenance on critical systems such as WFI, Clean Steam, HVAC, Compressed Gases, and Aseptic Filling systems.
- Utilize analytical skills to interpret system data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for system improvements.
- Develop and update technical procedures for calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
- Apply GMP and GLP principles in all technical activities and documentation processes.
- Provide technical support during regulatory audits and inspections.
- Conduct technical training for team members on calibration techniques, instrument operation, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Weekend Schedule (3 / 12) :
Days : Friday, Saturday, Sunday Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM
Hours worked : 36 hours Hours paid : 40 hours (as per pay policy)

60,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD per year
