Job Description Summary JLL's Global Controllership team is seeking a Technical Accounting Director to provide thought leadership on complex and technical accounting issues and serve as a subject matter resource to influence business decisions through technical accounting impacts. In this position, you will research, analyze, and conclude on technical accounting topics, with a core focus of capturing and maximizing value to our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to break down complex and non-routine technical accounting issues and work through analysis of issues with others in Technical Accounting
- Assist the revenue team in reviewing complex revenue contracts to drive consistency and process improvement
- Contribute to the annual goodwill impairment assessment, SEC filing disclosures, and the completion of the company's audit process
- Review and update accounting policies and collaborate across the organization to implement policies or related materials (procedures, FAQs, etc.) to improve clarity and consistency
- Develop educational accounting materials to finance, business, and other key stakeholders
- Monitor, assess, and support the implementation of new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company
- Work in the fast-paced Global Controllership team with direct exposure to key leaders and executives
- Involved in special projects across the company, as needed
