Caregiver/Direct Support Professional

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individual with developmental disabilities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in group home settings.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing good housekeeping tasks.
• Document daily service notes for the service provided and any changes (progress/regress) about a client accurately.
• Collaborate with qualified professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience for minors with developmental disabilities
• Familiarity with CPR techniques and first aid is a plus.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Experience in group home care settings is beneficial.
• Knowledge of meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.
• A background in social work or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, writing skils, empathy, and patience are essential for success in this role.
• High school diploma
• Driving license
• Copy of social security card
