Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Santa Clarita, United States. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components for our manufacturing processes.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various CNC machines, including mills and lathes
- Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Perform precision measurements and quality control checks on machined parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines and programs
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
- Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and tools
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in CNC machining
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, including mills and lathes
- Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of quality control and inspection techniques
- Understanding of metalworking and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with various material properties and machining characteristics
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
