Position Summary: The Telecommunication Technician will be responsible for designing, configuring, and facilitating the installation of equipment used for voice, video, and data transmission.

- Collaborates with customer support, sales, and other client-facing teams, as well as system administrators and engineers, to assess current and future telecommunications system and equipment needs.
- Designs components, software, and other products needed for effective telecommunications.
- Develops, maintains, and orders inventory of telecommunications equipment for customer premises equipment (CPE), facilities, backbone networks, and access networks.
- Installs, or coordinates the installation of, new or modified hardware, software, and systems; provides technical support and training to users.
- Implements or executes backups, recovery procedures, and preventive maintenance.
- Researches business and technical specifications and requirements for proposed system modifications and technology purchases; obtains price quotes from vendors.
- Prepares logs, reports, user guides, and other necessary documentation as needed to track and analyze use and costs of telecommunications equipment and systems.
- Develops, maintains, documents, and implements business continuity and disaster recovery plans for telecommunications networks.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technology, which may include attending professional meetings, workshops and conferences; membership in professional organizations; and completion of continuing education course work.
- Certification in networking (e.g., Cisco)
- Knowledge of Meraki, firewall management, OSPF, TCP protocols

Pay: $65,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
