Now hiring for A.T.Augusta Military Medical Center: Vestibular Audiologist. Join a team of professionals at a state of the art institution to provide care for our military members and their family. This full time position is open to those with a minimum of 2 years of experience with an American Board of Audiology (ABA) certification or Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as an active BLS.
Key Responsibilities
Engages in the differential diagnosis of the full range of hearing problems associated with 1) functional 2) mixed 3) conductive 4) sensory 5) neural 6) sensorineural and 7) central hearing losses.
- Demonstrates advanced competence in areas to include advanced audiologic and electrophysiologic evaluation, comprehensive tinnitus assessment and treatment, bio-electric implanted devices, advanced vestibular assessment and treatment/management, and amplification and signal processing technology.
- In diagnosing these problems, the incumbent conducts and interprets the complete range of specialized and refined audiological test procedures currently available.
- Shall report to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Manager. Shall take direction from the PM&R Lead as required in maintaining a safe environment for staff and patient(s).
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Master’s degree in audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree.
- National Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) or American Board of Audiology (ABA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Have at least two (2) years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an outpatient setting in the past two (2) years
