Job Description
Travel CT Tech is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility in Michigan. ARRT and BLS are required. Shifts are varied 6 am through 11 pm, with possible weekends. 40 hours per week are guaranteed. 2 years of experience is required. Travel is highly Preferred. EPIC experience is required. (30%) Obtains quality diagnostic radiographs utilizing x-ray equipment and accessories. Adjusts technical factors to provide appropriate exposure by use of independent judgment, knowledge of human anatomy, effect of disease on the radiograph and the principles of radiation as well as the specific operation of all radiologic equipment within the department. (30%) Transport patient into exam room; assist patient & position appropriately for exam; determine if allergic to anything; inject appropriate IV contrast; perform scan with attention to appropriate positioning; be alert for need of additional or thinner slices / images. (20%) Maintains safe, sanitary conditions for patients. Cleans exam room between patients. Provides appropriate radiation protection for patient and staff during radiation exposures according to prescribed safety standards. (20%) Draw up IV contrast if needed; administer oral contrast if indicated; perform warm-up procedure on equipment; enter patient data and appropriate scan parameters; review patient data to assure proper exam; review previous exams.
