Wordpress Designer
The ideal candidate will have experience working with WordPress Block Editor, child themes, and translating design mockups into fully functional WordPress layouts. The role requires a creative mindset, technical proficiency, and an understanding of modern web design principles, including mobile-first design. Candidates should have a basic understanding of SEO principles.
Ideal candidates would have a focus on UI, UX.
Responsibilities
- Create & Customize WP websites using block editor (generate press generate blocks)
- Modify, maintain child themes
- Translate FIGMA mockups into responsive WP layouts and designs
- Implement custom CSS, some JS as required.
- Learn, measure, and continually assess SEO performance
- Optimize performance with existing WP tools
- Measure and remediate potential accessibility barriers (WCAG3)
- Collaborate with designers to explore feasibility, implementation, and delivery
- Leverage tools like Microsoft Clarity to improve UI / UX for end users, creating a more seamless experience
