We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Associate Director of Medical Affairs Programs. The position reports to the Sr. Director Medical Communications & Operations.  The location of the position is in Brisbane, CA or remote.

Summary Description

The Associate Director of Medical Affairs Programs will work on a high-performing team responsible for medical information, medical review activities, publications management, medical education & grants oversight and medical operations across Women’s Health and Prostate Cancer for Myovant Sciences. This individual will be requested to focus on supporting various technologies and the operational component for sub functions of Medical Affairs, with a focus on medical review, publications, and medical education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help develop, reinforce and maintain the process for the scientific medical review committee (SMRC)
  • Serves as the SMRC coordinator by facilitating the review of medical materials, effectively interacting with piece owners prior to and after review and performing operational tasks such as routing medical materials, annotating within Veeva Vault, final proofing of materials and helping to maintain version control
  • Coordinates with similar operations roles within Medical Affairs and in other departments across Myovant Sciences
  • Liaison for Investigator-Initiated Studies and Medical Sponsorship submissions and tracking
  • Supports any Medical Communications & Operations technology implementations and oversees associated contracts that improve or affects SMRC (Veeva Vault), publications (PubSTRAT), medical education and medical sponsorship process
  • Lead operational support for Medical Communications & Operation systems, including, but not limited to onboarding, training, and issue resolution
  • Compiles data and reports metrics and KPIs from a variety of sources to support routine and ad hoc reports
  • Ensure adherence to related policies and SOPs, such as Sponsorships, Educational Grants, Investigator-Initiated Studies, and Publications

  • Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust building behaviors in all dealings is essential and required.
  • Must have excellent customer-service orientation, high degree of professionalism, and ability to work with limited direction.
  • Daily demonstrates a positive, ‘can do’ and service oriented attitude.  Strong oral and written communicator; detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, with initiative and the ability to take ownership of, and follow through with, specific tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while working under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in developing collaborative internal and external relationships.
  • Required skill in the operation of standard office equipment including: fax machines, copy machines and other equipment as necessary.
  • Strong PC experience and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the position will interface potentially key opinion leaders and employees.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and deliver an excellent work product in a fast-paced, and rapidly growing dynamic company.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts in a relevant scientific discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting
  • Project management training/experience considered a plus
  • Experience in both large and small bio pharmaceutical companies considered a plus
  • Strong aptitude to learn and use new databases/IT systems

TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment
  • Close vision required for computer usage
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds
