ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Estimator I T&D is responsible for various tasks in developing cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation work. The Associate Estimator will be a part of our extensive training program to help develop these skills.

Essential Functions
- Prepare / assist in preparing complete cost estimates for assigned projects for transmission, distribution and substation projects
- Understand and monitor program scope of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines
- Schedule and attend field job walk with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements
- Perform / assist in performing take-offs / evaluations for estimate preparation
- May solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals including assembly and distribution of project documentation in to RFQ / RFP packages
- Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency
- Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holders
- Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate
- May assist in the preparation and submission of change orders
- Participate in job close-out meetings at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
