About the Role :
The Senior Counsel is a key member of the MYR Group Legal Department and will provide legal guidance in a variety of matters that impact our business primarily including construction law and contract review & negotiations.

Essential Functions
- Provide legal advice and support in all aspects of construction law, including hands-on support to senior management, managers, and project managers on change management, risk, protect rights and entitlements for relief, prepare correspondence, maintain records necessary to ensure effective dispute resolution, and other project matters.
- Review, draft, interpret, and negotiate construction contracts with clients, partners, subcontractors, and vendors. Typical contracts include but are not limited to construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, joint venture agreements, EPC agreements, consortium agreements, major equipment contracts, memoranda of understanding, and nondisclosure agreements.
- Have opportunities to work on a variety of legal matters as they progress including Civil Litigation, Labor & Employment, Public Company Governance, Securities & Exchange, Real Estate, Risk Management and Personal Injury matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location.
- Understand and comply with the Companys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable.

Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
