Description
As a Sr. R&D Engineer on the Myra Vision team, you will play a key role designing and developing novel products and processes to improve patients' lives. You will own and drive forward projects with support from your collaborative cross-functional team. You will contribute meaningful updates to our innovative technology and IP portfolio and solve technical problems as they arise. This is a full-time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.
Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
- Design, prototype, and test products, fixtures and assemblies. Able to come up with creative ways to build and test ideas quickly.
- Experience with test method development and documentation. Experience working with a quality management system, preparing work for regulatory submissions, and/or experience with audits preferred.
- Support and improve current product development and lead efforts in new product design and development
- Use data to drive technical decisions. Document and present technical findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Systematically solve problems and design continuous improvements. Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent preferred.
- Drive forward independent work as well as collaborate with a cross-functional team.
- Support product development from start to finish, including verification/validation testing in-vitro and in-vivo. Familiarity with design controls preferred.
- Contribute to the company’s intellectual property via invention disclosures, brainstorming sessions, and prototypes for proof of concept.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks required. Simulation experience/understanding preferred.
Education & Work Experience
- BS degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
- 5 years’ work experience. Medical device industry preferred.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $90,000 to $180,000 equity benefits.
