SKILLED HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION LABORER

Myrick Marine Contracting Corporation is a long established and growing company located in Savannah, GA currently looking for Skilled Heavy Civil Construction Laborer with minimum 5 years experience in both heavy civil and marine construction preferred. GEORGIA APPLICANTS ONLY

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

· Manning excavators, loaders, skid steers, and various heavy construction equipment

· Utilizing various hand tools

· Preparing job sites

· Loading and unloading equipment

· Digging trenches

· Concrete work

· Fill in on a vessel as needed

· Concrete pouring and demolition

· Heavy timber work

· Maintain equipment in proper working order

· Demonstrate good problem-solving skills, both independently and within a team

· Work as directed by site supervisor

· Attend job site and company safety meetings

Qualifications:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Civil and Marine Construction

· Must pass a pre-employment physical

· Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings

· Must pass a background check

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Must own reliable transportation to commute to / from work

· Must live or relocate within reasonable commute to / from Savannah GA

· Ability to work from 7am to 5pm Monday - Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm Fridays

· Must be flexible and available to work all shifts including overtime when required

Physical Requirement:

· Individuals will frequently be required to push, pull, bend, or stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl and or stoop for long periods of time.

· Must be able to lift or carry equipment, supplies and / or parts up to 75 lbs unassisted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
