Job Description
We are seeking a Stockroom Manager to join our team at Myrtle Beach Building Supply. As a key member of our stockroom team, you will be responsible for managing inventory control functions, supervising inventory specialists and clerks, and coordinating the receiving process for all products.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise inventory specialists, conducting scheduling, training, performance reviews, and HR functions.
- Review and approve cycle counts, inventory adjustments, short shipments, and returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the receiving process, managing product tracking and storage.
- Purchase non-PO manufacturing products and non-stock items, working within established parameters.
- Communicate with management on cycle count variances, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Notify management of inventory adjustments due to damage, short shipment, returns, or other reasons.
- Run bi-annual and fiscal inventories, completing cycle counts as requested by management.
Requirements
- Proven inventory control experience with strong product knowledge.
- Operational staff experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and trend procurement experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Leadership abilities, including team motivation and development.
