About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at Myrtle Beach Building Supply. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing inventory control functions, supervising inventory specialists and clerks, and coordinating the receiving process for all products.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise inventory specialists, conducting scheduling, training, performance reviews, and HR functions.
- Review and approve cycle counts, inventory adjustments, short shipments, and returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the receiving process, managing product tracking and storage.
- Purchase non-PO manufacturing products and non-stock items, working within established parameters.
- Communicate with management on cycle count variances, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Notify management of inventory adjustments due to damage, short shipment, returns, or other reasons.
- Run bi-annual and fiscal inventories, completing cycle counts as requested by management.
Requirements
- Proven inventory control experience with strong product knowledge.
- Operational staff experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and trend procurement experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Leadership abilities, including team motivation and development.
