SCHEDULE : Full-time; 36 hours per week; Four days per week; 7 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm
The Clinic Float Nurse is of prime importance in helping the medical provider respond successfully to the increasing demands for his / her services. He / she is the essential link between the medical provider and his / her patients, professional associates and equipment and medical suppliers. She / he delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Clinic Float Nurse assists in the patient teaching activities and maintains the standards of a professional nurse. He / she performs various laboratory and radiologic procedures and is responsible for the documentation of the results of these.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program or a graduate of medical assistant training. Current Iowa Nursing license or Medical Assistant certification. Must either be certified in CPR or obtain certification during the first three months of employment. No clinical experience as a prerequisite. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Possesses the technical skills and knowledge of equipment mechanisms necessary to deliver quality patient care. Is knowledgeable of and is committed to the policies of the clinic.
