SCHEDULE : Full-time; 36 hours per week; Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - 6 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm; Tues 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, or as needed
The Food Service Supervisor directs and supervises personnel in the dietary department. She / he selects dietary personnel and supervises their orientation, on-the-job training and work performance. She / he supervises food preparation and service for patients, on-site meetings, staff and visitors. She / he requisitions supplies and recommends equipment purchases. She / he keeps records and compiles reports concerning dietary operations.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent. Sufficient training in sanitation, hygiene, food and nutrition and special diets is required. Regular continuing education to maintain safety standards of the food service operation. ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification is encouraged, but is not required. Two years experience in food service in a health care institution and demonstrated competence. Must have a general knowledge of menu planning, operation of cooking equipment and procurement of supplies. Must have management capabilities and mathematical skills.
