What You'll Do
A typical day at MySpot is dynamic and fulfilling, requiring empathy, analytical skills, and a commitment to improving children's lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the evaluation of patients' functional abilities and limitations to help develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve patients' fine motor skills, strength, coordination, and independence in daily activities.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatment, adjusting interventions as directed by the occupational therapist.
- Instruct patients and their families in therapeutic techniques and activities they can perform at home to enhance rehabilitation progress.
What You'll Need
- Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in the state of Texas.
