Title Examiner
The title examiner is responsible for searching our title plant and public records for documentation to provide an accurate title commitment while maintaining a high level of productivity. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Examine and verify condition of title and insurability on Texas residential, acreage and commercial properties.
- Research respective title plant and public records for documents such as deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, probates and other matters of record.
- Evaluate pertinent record documents for determination of ownership, legal description, and any conjunction to title.
- Recognize title defects and formulate curative measures.
- Maintain proper production levels and delivery standards on a daily basis.
- Review surveys for properties.
- Prepare an accurate title commitment in accordance with company examining procedures.
