We are seeking a Credentialed Medical Assistant with a minimum of one year of recent experience (within the last three years) in a physician’s office or clinic, preferably with a strong Primary Care background. EDUCATION | TRAINING | EXPERIENCE | CERTIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program required: Required
- Current MA credential upon hire, e.g., CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA, etc.,: Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent: Preferred
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR (prefer AHA): Required
- Excellent communication skills and detailed understanding of patient care
- Prior EMR experience required (EPIC experience ideal): Required
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines
- Prefer someone with phlebotomy experience or willing to be trained: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
- Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
