Key Responsibilities:
Workday Financials Configuration:
- Lead the configuration and implementation of Workday Financials within the client's environment, including modules such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Procurement, and Expenses.
Project Management & Leadership:
- Serve as the project lead for Workday Financials initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
Business Analysis:
- Gather and analyze business requirements, working closely with stakeholders to translate them into functional Workday configurations.
- Provide guidance on process improvements based on industry best practices.
Integrator Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with both internal and external Workday integration teams to configure and test integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Lead system testing efforts, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure that Workday Financials configurations meet business requirements and technical specifications.
Training & Support:
- Provide training and ongoing support to business users on Workday Financials processes and functionality.
- Offer guidance on troubleshooting and resolving system-related challenges.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for Workday Financials configurations, integrations, processes, and procedures to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and ongoing system maintenance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with Workday updates and best practices to recommend and implement improvements to the Workday Financials environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including configuration and implementation.
- 3 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Project Management, preferably within ERP or financial systems.
- Experience working with Workday integrators on system integrations to ensure Workday Financials functions effectively within the broader enterprise system landscape.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Workday Financials modules, including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Procurement, Expenses, and related areas.
- Proficiency in Business Process Framework (BPF), Workday Studio, and Workday Report Writer.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage business relationships and translate complex technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of how to streamline processes and improve financial system operations.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Workday Financials Certification
- PMP or similar Project Management certification
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel Requirements: Candidates must be local to St. Louis, Missouri, or reside in Central Time Zone states.
