We currently have an opening for an ServiceNow Platform Architect
The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
The ServiceNow Platform Architect reports to ServiceNow Platform owner/manager and serves as the lead technical resource for the ServiceNow team. This position serves as the strategic platform architect for the shared ServiceNow instance used to support state agencies as well as the new DIT instance to support DIT needs. This includes the design, development, implementation, and support of both the platform needs (integrations, upgrades etc.) as well as applications such as IT Service Management, Customer Service management, HRSD, CSM and others. As senior technical expert, this position ensures that services are operating as expected and are in line with the overall architecture and enforces the overall architecture of the ServiceNow platform. This position is also a strategic advisor to the ServiceNow Platform Owner and provides technical leadership to the platform governance structure. This position ensures that the ServiceNow platform capabilities align with business objectives and solutions implemented are secure, stable, scalable and operate robustly.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of progressive experience in all areas of information technology architectural components, interfaces and their applications or related work;
or
Bachelor s degree in business administration or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of progressive experience in all areas of information technology architectural components, interfaces and their applications or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Design, maintain, and enforce the overall architecture of the ServiceNow platform
- Act as the lead technical resource for the ServiceNow team for support and maintenance as well as upgrade, new application onboarding, and as part of the on-call rotation for incident resolution
- Gather requirements to design and implement custom/OOB applications as well as design solutions to seamlessly integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team to ensure successful completion of ServiceNow initiatives
- Assess and provide recommendations to enhance the performance and operation of ServiceNow implementations
- Establish governance practices for platform usage, development and change management
- Lead the technical governance committee which includes both DIT technical representation as well as customer stakeholders

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
- Demonstrated experience working with ServiceNow development and architecture in a large-scale environment, designing and implementing complex ServiceNow OOB ( Out of Box) and/or custom solutions
- Demonstrated experience developing, installing, and/or supporting one or more ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, CSM, HRSD, CMDB, HAM, SAM etc.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide Script)
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing interfaces with external systems using integration tools such as (REST API’s, Integration hub)
- Demonstrated experience translating customer requirements into technical implementations
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile
- Shall be a citizen of the United States,
- Shall be at least 18 years of age,
- Shall agree to a fingerprint-based background search. [SO1]
