NC Machinery, the Pacific Northwest Caterpillar dealer is seeking a Lab Technician II Analyst in our Tukwila Lab operation. Our Lab Technicians work within a team environment to process over 200 samples per day. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Analyze oil samples using Oil Analysis standards, methods, and techniques including Material Identification, and perform sample processing.
- Perform complete spectrometer standardization and daily standardization checks.
- Perform the following oil analysis tests : Particle, Viscosity, Spectrum analysis, water content and total acid.
- Perform oil analysis tests, including lube oil and hydraulic oils used in equipment, then document results and provide reports to customers and others as required.
- Utilize proper methods for Material Identification, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system, handling of hazardous material, and update / document information as necessary.
- Be capable of providing services to include identification, characterization, testing, and evaluation of various materials and substances such as metallic alloys, etc.
- Be knowledgeable of lab test equipment and maintain laboratory equipment calibration scheduling. Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
- 3 years of lab work experience and understanding of wet chemistry preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows based applications required. Benefits : We offer a competitive benefits package that includes hourly wage from $33.70 to $41.20 per hour.
