Responsibilities:
- Lead the testing and validation of NDC solutions, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand technical requirements and design effective test plans.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the quality of NDC implementations.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with airline IT systems and global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus.
- Validate XML/JSON payloads using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
- Provide detailed reports on testing activities and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in quality assurance within the travel or airline industry.
- Strong knowledge of NDC standards and airline distribution systems.
- Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, and JIRA.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Skills:
- Expertise in NDC and airline distribution systems.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing of NDC APIs (OrderCreateRQ, OrderChangeRQ, ServiceListRQ, etc.).
- Knowledge of PNRs, Ticketing, Fare Rules, SSRs, and EMDs.
- Validate XML/JSON payloads using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Ensure compliance with GDSs (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) and airline IT systems.
- Analyze and report defects using JIRA with root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues.
- Stay updated with IATA NDC schema changes.
- Support NDC Level 4/5 compliance certification
- Strong understanding of travel industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent presentation and training skills.
- Experience with defect tracking and reporting using JIRA.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues.
Good to Have:
- Experience with NDC-enabled booking engines and airline pricing systems.
- Knowledge of Open Travel, ONE Order, EDIFACT.
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD and cloud-based testing.
