About the Role As a Lawn Care Fertilizer Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Applying fertilizers, weed control, and other lawn treatments to residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnosing lawn issues such as weeds, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Providing expert recommendations for appropriate solutions.
- Operating and maintaining application equipment safely.
- Following all safety guidelines and local regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of treatments applied.
- Communicating with clients through our app-based software.
- Delivering excellent customer service and educating clients on lawn care practices.
- Assisting with general lawn maintenance tasks as needed.
- Maintaining your designated work vehicle.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in lawn care, fertilization, or turf management.
- Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator Certification 3.0 Turf & Landscape (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator Certification 5.0 Aquatic & Mosquito (or ability to obtain upon hire). Not required but would be a bonus
- Strong understanding of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules efficiently.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, or humid, ).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aeration, overseeding, and soil testing.
- Knowledge of local turfgrass species and seasonal care needs.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
