We are a non-emergency medical transportation company; Our goal is to provide Safe, Courteous, and Timely transportation. We are looking for reliable drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely transporting clients in wheelchair or stretcher to and from their doctor's appointments or treatment centers. This position requires a valid driver's license, excellent driving skills, and the ability to follow GPS directions and navigate unfamiliar roads. The ideal candidate should also have a strong sense of customer service, and the ability to work well with others. On the job training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Transport clients using company vans to appointments or treatment centers (Dr's office, hospital, dialysis, chemo, physical therapy, etc).
- Use GPS and other transportation apps for navigation and documenting trip progress.
- Receive and follow instructions from dispatch and communicate effectively about trip progress and daily schedule.
- Maintain a professional image and attitude at all times.
- Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist clients, as needed, to safely enter and exit the vehicle or buildings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Driver qualifications and education requirements
- Previous N.E.M.T experience (Preferred)
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record (No MOVING VIOLATIONS in the last 3 years)
- Inspect vehicle before each trip to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a professional attitude while interacting with clients and other drivers.
- Be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
- MUST have a clean background check and PASS a drug screen.
- BLS/CPR certified (Preferred)
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Willing to work varying hours between 6 am and 6 pm (hours of work vary depending on the schedule, may require very early morning start and sometimes late evening finish)
- Be able to multi-task and perform duties as assigned, in a safe manner
- Have passion for helping others
- Be 25 years of age or older
Physical demands
- Very active; it requires walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, and pushing throughout the day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
