Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximizing revenue and ensuring efficient operations. The General Manager will be responsible for leading a team, managing front desk operations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This positional is with a Marriott property, so having Fosse knowledge is preferred.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily hotel operations, including front desk management and guest services.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Manage revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy and profitability.
- Oversee the night audit process to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Train, mentor, and supervise hotel staff to maintain service excellence.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement hotel policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of human resources practices related to hiring, training, and staff development.
- Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in revenue management techniques to drive profitability.
- Familiarity with front desk operations, including night audit processes.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to lead a diverse team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
