Position Title: Director of MLS Program (Med Lab Science Director of Education)
Location: Alexandria, LA
Overview: The Director of the MLS Program is responsible for overseeing the operation, curriculum development, and NAACLS accreditation of the Medical Laboratory Science Education Program. This includes leading faculty and staff, managing program budgets, and ensuring quality education for students while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the MLS program curriculum and student evaluations.
- Ensure NAACLS accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- Lead faculty and staff in delivering lectures and hands-on teaching.
- Oversee program budget and resources.
- Mentor students and staff, ensuring quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- ASCP-BOC or equivalent certification.
- Louisiana State Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
- 3 years teaching experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of NAACLS accreditation and educational administration.
- BLS certification within 30 days.
This position reports to the Laboratory Director and Manager.
