Director of Nursing

Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

City: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Schedule: Days (40 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 8 weeks (with potential for permanent placement)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure quality care and maintain high standards for patient safety and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans for residents.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of Michigan.
• Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and nursing best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
