Duration:26 Weeks initially (AUTO OFFER With strong possibility of extension)
Guaranteed Hours- 48 hour
Shift: 12 Hours Nights
Weekly Pay - $2000 - $2700 Weekly
Job Description:
- Accompany the physician during sick calls to examine inmates/residents.
- Prepare a list of inmates/residents for examination.
- Ensure examining room and equipment are prepared and ready for use.
- Oversee and manage pill call procedures.
- Dispense medications to inmates/residents as prescribed.
- Document medication dispensing as per applicable policies and procedures.
- Contact LIPs for medication and treatment orders, as well as for emergency situations.
- Provide timely updates and request orders as needed for inmates/residents' care.
- Assess new inmates/residents for illnesses or injuries.
- Monitor and evaluate inmates/residents who become ill or injured.
- Refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other healthcare facilities based on their medical condition.
- Carry out emergency procedures as required for medical emergencies.
- Notify LIPs for treatment orders and support for emergency care.
- Coordinate with contract healthcare personnel:
- Assist in the coordination of professional medical services provided by contracted medical personnel.
- Ensure that the needs of contract medical staff are addressed to provide efficient healthcare services.
