Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 8 weeks contract
Schedule: Five days a week; potentially may have to work weekends, Rotational midnight shift: 730pm – 4am & afternoon shift: 1pm – 930pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40/ weeks
Requirements:
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
- Not testing
- Experience with SunQuest and Epic.
- This position is more clerical – focused on customer service, Critical value calling.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
Job Duties:
- Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
- May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Salary : $45 - $50
