Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Location: Detroit, MI 48236
Duration: 13-week Contract
Schedule: (3*12) hour shifts; 7PM-7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36/ Per Week
Pay Range: $47-$53/hr. (DOE)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Key Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Education, Licensure & Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing is required.
- Current active BLS – AHA is required.
- The RN should be Willing to accept 5 to 6 patients each day.
- 1 years of MedSurg unit experience.
- Charge leadership is highly recommended.
Salary : $47 - $53
