Position: Speech Language Pathologist/Speech Therapist
Location: Gainesville, FL
Shift: Days 32-40 hr/week (Shift will be discussed at the time of interview)
Duration: Permanent
What you will do in this role:
- You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient’s speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation.
- You will administer objective tests to assess patient’s communication assets and liabilities.
- You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
- You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.
- You will document progress in patient’s chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
- You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
What qualifications you will need:
- Open to any candidates with their full SLP Licensure. Strongly prefer Acute Care experience Also, We would prefer someone with NICU experience as well willing to work in both adult and NICU.
- Master’s Degree Required
- State licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) *REQUIRED
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
